Annual Summit 2016 on survival & restructuring

11. March 2016
The programme for Annual Summit 2016 is packed with good speakers, including Torbjørn Kjus, the infamous oil analyst from DNB Markets, Pat Tye from Gibsons in London and Kristine Petrosyan from World Energy Outlook at the IEA in Paris. Get ready for two rewarding days at Losby Gods!
Our opening speaker, Dr Ulf Sverdrup, CEO at NUPI, will update us on the world geopolitics. Our session on Macro Update includes Kristine Petrosyan from the IEA World Energy Outlook, Torbjørn Kjus from DNB Markets and Per Magnus Nysveen from Rystad Energy. After all, the oil price and the energy outlook are what drive much of our industry.
After lunch we move into the, sadly, extremely relevant field of survival and restructuring, with introductions from both Kjartan Bru from DNB Bank in London and Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal, CFO at Golden Ocean Management AS. After their introductions there will be a panel with both of them as well as such distinguished panelists as Solveig Frøland from GIEK, Jarle Roth from Eksportkreditt Norge AS, and Kjersti Kleven from Kleven Verft and the Federation of Norwegian Industries, Maritime. Dr Per Olaf Brett, our board member and VP og Ulstein International AS, will be the moderator for this session.
After all that we need a drink.... - before we move on to our pre-dinner speaker Mr Sverre Diesen, our former Chief of Defence, who will look at the security situation in Europe.
Then follows our banquet dinner before we on Friday 22 April have market updates, with André Urstad from Maritime Analytics on Dry Bulk and Pat Tye from Gibsons in London on wet bulk, as well as Erik Tønne and Sven Ziegler from Clarksons Platou on offshore.
So all you need to do is to sign up and look forward to two interesting, challenging, stimulating and rewarding days at Losby Gods on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 April.
