Ballast Water Management seminars in Oslo and Bergen

14. November 2016
The BWM Convention was ratified by a sufficient number of states on 8 September 2016, bringing the total gross tonnage to over 35% from the signatory states. This means the convention will enter into force 12 months later, on 8 September 2017. So what are the consequences for the shipping industry and what are the recommendations to ship owners?
We in Shipping & Offshore Network are happy to once again present to you leading suppliers, this time of BWT systems, at two sponsored seminars in Oslo and Bergen. In Oslo we meet at Tjuvholmen Sjømagasin for another Tjuvholmen Seminar, and in Bergen we meet at Grand Selskapslokaler, as always.
Meet DNV GL who will offer an overview of the current market situation, meet the US Embassy who will update us on the US Coast Guard (Oslo only), meet a frustrated early adaptor and our long-time member, Eivind Holte from Saga Shipholding (Oslo only), and meet the following suppliers, listed alphabetically:
  • Alfa Laval Nordic AS
  • DESMI OceanGuard AS
  • Knutsen Technology AS
  • MMC Green Technologies AS
  • OceanSaver
  • OptiMarin
We hope these will be two useful seminars and look forward to welcoming you!
